It was also a great way to blast 80's music all day long, keep things upbeat and fun. People got into it and brought their favorite tunes, Rubics Cubes, board games, cassette tapes and anything else they could think of as decoration. Steph brought in her Atari that we hooked up to a tv to get our "Pac-Man" on!
What really set this theme off though, was the idea I came up with to make "Nagel-esque" posters of everyone in our group. (You know, those type of black-and-white pictures you would see at a beauty salon, where only the lips are red or pink? Somehow, that "look" totally defines the 80's to me. ) This was a big hit because no-one had ever seen anything like this before, and it showed we could poke fun at ourselves.

It also didn't hurt that we had a big plotter at work, so making the decorations wouldn't really cost me a penny!
